Beauty and wellness salon Wickford Essex

Hi I’m Becca, the owner of Renew By RJ. I have recently rebranded my business from b_lashedx. What started as a hobby back in 2017 has become my full time career. I am so grateful to be able to do something I love for work.

I decided I wanted to do an eyelash extensions course when I had my lashes done in a local salon as I was intrigued by the process of how they were applied. So I booked the course and never looked back.

I was still working my full time office admin job and spending my evenings and weekends offering eyelash extensions. 12 hour days and 1 day off a week was tough but the outcome was so worth it.

Getting made redundant from my admin job in 2019, I decided to take the leap and go full time with my business. I then trained in Russian Eyelash Extensions, Lash Lifts, and Eyebrow Wax and Tint. Something I will never regret! Working from my parents lounge for 7 years and building an amazing client base (some who are still with me 7 years on) it was finally time to get my own salon.

I had a vision for my new salon which meant it was time for b_lashedx to have an upgrade, which is where Renew By RJ comes in.

I wanted to create a space for my clients where they feel relaxed and safe. I wanted to go with a ‘spa’ theme because I find there’s nothing more relaxing than going for treatments at a spa.

The vision came to life and now I have the dream salon. 7 years of hard graft to get to here.

The Japanese Headspa is a new treatment I offer, which so far has had a positive response. I hope everyone loves my treatments and salon as much as me. I’m proud of how much my business has grown and hope it continues to grow in the future.
